National Library, Applications are invited for appointment to the post of Additional Director General (IT Systems and Operations), National Library, Kolkata, West Bengal.

Additional Director General (IT Systems and Operations) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (a) Master’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent in Computer Applications OR Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science or equivalent Degree/ Associate-ship from DRTC or INSDOC with specialization in Computer Applications in Libraries (b) 15 years’ professional experience in Corporate Sector/ Government organization, autonomous body or university in the area of database/ system management/ software development and computer based information storage and retrieval systems.
Desirable : (a) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Applications (for Masters’ Degree holder in Library & Information Science) (b) Practical experience of Library automation and networking, software development and planning and execution of computerization projects in Libraries or Archives.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 13.5 lakh per annum (payable monthly).
Age Limit : Maximum age limit will be 62 years as on 17.02.2011.
